Day 12 : A Rainy Day filled by Food and Conversations

It was raining since the early morning and heavy rain with occasional daylight and showers made it impossible to go out. Breakfast comprised kanji (rice gruel), pickle, and kidney beans—a unique combination that proved surprisingly delightful. The Educare classes, scheduled for the day, were canceled due to the inclement weather. Seizing the opportunity, I delved into find the videos about Perumathura, which Adv. MA Hassan told me which he was interviewed to make. Astonishingly, I stumbled upon two videos made by a person named Ashkar Kabeer, and I was genuinely stunned by the immense efforts he invested in their creation. Reflecting on this, a tinge of guilt crept in for not uncovering these valuable resources earlier, despite my meticulous exploration of digital materials on Perumathura.

I then tried to connect with Ashkar Kabeer to ask some clarifications regarding some information he provided in the vedios however he didn't pick my call. A lunch of heavy and flavoursome mutton biryani, expertly prepared by Imbrahimkka, provided the perfect complement to the cool, rainy weather, inducing a much-needed siesta. In the evening, I engaged in a casual yet informative group discussion with Ustads and students at Imdadiya. Conversations traversed diverse topics, ranging from the enigmatic mystery of Djinns in an abandoned masjid nearby to amusing anecdotes from life at Imdadiya. After dinner, my day took an unexpected turn when Ashkar Kabeer returned my call, leading to a captivating and insightful conversation. Topics spanned the Cheraman Perumal legend's connection with Perumathura to the Tamil influence on South Kerala Islam.
